Notice on Optimizing Visa Requirement for Study in China

Effective immediately, people who have enrolled for a long-term curricula education in China can apply for a study visa by providing Visa Application for Study in China (JW201 or JW202) and Letter of Admission, or confirmation letter for returning to school. 

Family members (spouse, parents, children under the age of 18 years old, and parents of spouse) of holder of valid study visa (X1) or valid Chinese Residence Permit for the purpose of study, can apply for visa for private affairs (S1) if intend to accompany with the holder for more than 180 days in China, or visa for short-term visit for private affairs (S2) if intend to stay in China for less than 180 days.
