Ambassador Wang Lutong signs bilateral agreement on economic and technical cooperation with the Cook Islands High Commissioner to New Zealand, H.E. Teremo Yala

On November 18, on behalf of the Chinese Government, Wang Lutong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to New Zealand and the Cook Islands, signed the bilateral economic and technical cooperation agreement with the Cook Islands High Commissioner to New Zealand, H.E. Teremo Yala.

Ambassador Wang Lutong noted that bilateral relations between China and the Cook Islands have maintained a good momentum of development. China is willing to strengthen its economic and technical cooperation with the Cook Islands and support the socio-economic development of the Cook Islands. The High Commissioner, Mrs. Teremo Yala, on behalf of the Cook Islands, expressed her gratitude for the long-standing technical assistance and support rendered by the Chinese Government. The Cook Islands is looking forward to strengthening cooperation with China to further advance the development of bilateral relations. Also present at the signing ceremony was the Chinese Embassy's Economic and Commercial Counsellor, Zhang Fan.
