On 25 March 2014, Sun Qin, Chairman of China National Nuclear Corp (CNNC), was interviewed jointly by People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency and China Radio International and gave an exclusive interview to China Central Television at the Press Center of the Chinese Delegation.

Sun Qin gave an overview of CNNC's work in nuclear security and the progress of its relevant international cooperation. He pointed out that the Chinese government and China's nuclear enterprises have always attached great importance to nuclear security and there have never been any nuclear security incidents involving either nuclear facility or material. Sun expressed CNNC's willingness to further enhance international exchanges and cooperation in nuclear security technologies, personnel training and nuclear security capacity building to step up nuclear security awareness as well as the capability and level of nuclear security.
