Ambassador Wang Lutong meets with the new Chief Executive of Te Papa Museum, Geraint Martin

On the morning of September 5, at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa in Wellington, Ambassador Wang Lutong met with the new Chief Executive Mr Geraint Martin. Also present at the meeting were Manager of Business and Marketing of Te Papa, Liz Hay; Community Relations Manager of Te Papa, Susan Superville; and Director of Cultural Section of Chinese Embassy, Shen Ming.

Chief Executive Geraint Martin welcomed Ambassador Wang to the Museum for his visit. Mr Martin reflected on the friendly exchanges between the museum and China and briefed Ambassador Wang on the preparations for China's Qin Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses exhibition at Te Papa on December 12, 2018. He believes that the exhibition will become a major event in the cultural exchanges between the two countries and is grateful for the positive support rendered by the Chinese Embassy in orgnising the event.

Ambassador Wang congratulated Mr Martin on his new position and spoke highly of the long history of sound cooperation between Te Papa Museum and China. Ambassador Wang expressed his wishes that the China's Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses exhibition at Te Papa next year would be a great success.
