On May 2, HE Ambassador Wang Xiaolong met with Hon Judith Collins, Minister of Defence, and exchanged their views on bilateral military relationship.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of China-New Zealand comprehensive strategic partnership. Over the past 10 years, China-New Zealand bilateral relations have made tremendous progress and achievements. Bilateral military relations are an integral part of China-New Zealand comprehensive strategic partnership. China is willing to further improve that relations with more exchanges and cooperation, Ambassador said.
Collins noted that military relations are an important part of bilateral relations, and New Zealand will continue strengthening strategic communication with China to enhance mutual understanding.
The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern such as AUKUS and Pacific regional issues.
