On December 13, Counselor Tang Jun, responsible for education, science and technology, and culture affairs at the Chinese Embassy, visited the Western Institute of Technology at Taranaki (WITT) and the Pacific International Hotel Management School (PIHMS) in New Plymouth.

On the morning of December 13, Counselor Tang Jun held discussions with Nicola Conley, Operations Lead of the Western Institute of Technology at Taranaki, and other representatives to exchange views on China-New Zealand cooperation in vocational education.

In the afternoon, Counselor Tang Jun was invited to attend the 49th Graduation Ceremony of the Pacific International Hotel Management School. During the event, she exchanged views with Chairman of PIHMS Board of Directors Peter Rogers and CEO Bill McCallum on enhancing the school’s educational exchange and cooperation with China.

During the visit, Counselor Tang also met with local overseas Chinese and representatives of Chinese students studying in the area, extending her regards to them.
