Dear friends, welcome to the website of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in New Zealand (Cook Islands, Niue).

"Even mountains and oceans cannot sever the bonds of shared aspirations." Albeit separated by the vast Pacific Ocean from New Zealand, the Cook Islands and Niue, China enjoys close and friendly relations with the three countries, with respective Comprehensive Strategic Partnerships thriving through joint efforts.

Facing a changing international landscape, China-New Zealand relations have maintained a steady momentum of growth, with new progress continually achieved in practical cooperation across various fields. China views the Cook Islands and Niue as important partners in the South Pacific and as models of equality and common development between countries of different sizes, with mutually beneficial cooperation delivering extensive benefits to our peoples.

On the new journey of the new era, China will stick to its independent foreign policy of peace, advance the implementation of the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, the Global Civilization Initiative, and the Global Governance Initiative, and promote the building of a community with a shared future for humanity.

To this end, China stands ready to work with New Zealand to carry forward our traditional friendship and expand mutually beneficial cooperation. Guided by the "four full respects" principle put forward by President Xi Jinping, China will support the Cook Islands and Niue in addressing common challenges such as climate change, achieving sustainable economic development, and injecting fresh impetus into the stability, development and prosperity of the region and the world.

I sincerely hope that our website will become a welcoming window for you to learn more about China, and a dynamic platform to follow the latest developments in our relations with New Zealand, the Cook Islands and Niue. We warmly invite you to visit often and share your valuable ideas. You are also most welcome to follow our official accounts on WeChat, X, Facebook and Instagram.
