On August 11，Ambassador Wang Xiaolong met with Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Mr. Algernon Yau, and his delegation at the Embassy.

Secretary Yau briefed on the recent economic and social development of the Hong Kong SAR and its trade and investment relations with New Zealand. He expressed hopes that this visit would promote strengthened cooperation between Hong Kong and New Zealand across multiple fields including economy and trade, education, culture, and tourism.

Ambassador Wang said the Embassy and Consulates-General of China in New Zealand will actively promote Hong Kong's development opportunities to various sectors in New Zealand and spare no effort in supporting the Hong Kong's efforts to develop cooperation with New Zealand in all fields.
