On June 6, Counselor Tang Jun, responsible for education, science and technology, and culture affairs at the Chinese Embassy in New Zealand, visited University of Auckland and exchange views with Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Strategic Engagement Dr Erik Lithander and International Director  Martin Hookham-Simms on strengthening educational cooperation between the university and Chinese higher education institutions. Second Secretary for Education Wan Ding from the Chinese Embassy and Consul for Education Yu Liqun from the Consulate-General in Auckland were also present at the meeting.
