On January 6, 2026 Asia-Pacific Men’s Lacrosse Championship kicked off in Wellington. Ambassador Wang Xiaolong attended the opening ceremony and met with the athletes from the China National Team and Hong Kong, China Team. He encouraged the players to give their all and chase outstanding results on the field.
The Asia-Pacific Men’s Lacrosse Championship is held every two years. The 2026 tournament is hosted by New Zealand Lacrosse. During the six-day competition, seven teams including Australia National Team; China National Team; Hong Kong, China Team; Japan National Team; New Zealand National Team; the Philippines National Team and Republic of Korea National Team will compete for an invitation to the 2027 World Championship.
