On 22 January, Deputy Head of Mission of the Chinese Embassy in New Zealand, Minister Counsellor Xie Yongjun, met with Lisa White, Acting Divisional Manager of the Protocol Division (responsible for consular protection related matters for foreign nationals) of the NZ Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The two sides exchanged views on issues related to consular protection of Chinese citizens in New Zealand.
