On February 27, the BAIC Official Launch event was held in Auckland. Ambassador Wang Xiaolong attended the event and delivered remarks. Also present were Auckland Deputy Mayor Desley Simpson, New Zealand Member of Parliament Lu Nan, BAIC International Chairman Wang Jianhui, as well as guests from the business communities of both countries.

Ambassador Wang noted that China is the world’s largest producer and exporter of automobiles, supplying global markets with a wide range of high-quality and affordable vehicles. It is good to see a growing number of Chinese automotive brands entering the New Zealand market and gaining recognition from consumers. New Zealand’s rising demand for technological innovation and green products has created favorable market opportunities for Chinese brands, including BAIC.

Deputy Mayor Simpson said that BAIC’s entry into the New Zealand market brings economic benefits, as it will bring increased investment and employment opportunities to the local economy while offering consumers a wider range of choices.
