On the morning of 20 April, Ambassador Wang Xiaolong paid a courtesy visit to Massey University and met with Vice-Chancellor Pierre Venter. Representatives from Massey University’s International Office, relevant faculties and Counsellor Tang Jun of the Embassy attended the meeting.

Vice-Chancellor Venter thanked the Embassy for its long-standing support, and briefed on Massey’s achievements in cooperation with China in agriculture, food industry and other fields, as well as its plans for joint education and joint research.
Ambassador Wang commended the university’s fruitful cooperation with China and appreciated its contributions to China-New Zealand educational exchange and cooperation. He noted that during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, China will continue to expand opening-up in education. The Embassy stands ready to support Massey’s cooperation with China for more practical results.
During the visit, Ambassador Wang also visited the School of Veterinary Science at Massey University.
