On May 27, Chargé d'Affaires Xie Yongjun met at the Embassy with a delegation from the Royal New Zealand Ballet, including Executive Director Tobias Perkins and Artistic Director Ty King-Wall. First Secretary Han Zhihua of the Education, Science and Culture Section attended.

The RNZB side talked about the history of exchanges and cooperation with Chinese artistic circles, introduced its latest ballet Voyages, and expressed that the troupe cherishes its artistic ties with China and is willing to deepen professional cooperation and promote artistic exchanges and mutual learning between the two countries.

Mr. Xie welcomed those remarks and wished the ballet Voyages a complete success. He emphasized that the Chinese Embassy in New Zealand is willing to continue promoting artistic and cultural exchanges and cooperation between the two countries, including in ballet, to enhance mutual understanding and people-to-people bonds.
